Our Story

Phoenix Rising Rentals LLC is a Florida based business offering affordable homes in the Lake City, FL area. Phoenix Rising Rentals was founded in 2010 by Chris and Amanda Bethea who wanted to own a business that would make a difference in serving the needs of the community in which they live. Chris and Amanda worked hard to provide housing that people could afford without breaking the bank to make it easier for someone to have a home without having to have 2 or 3 jobs to do it. On top of running Phoenix Rising Rentals they both had to work normal jobs making it sometimes difficult to get everything done because sometimes there just isn't enough hours in the day. Chris being a Fire Fighter by day and landlord by night (or all kinds of off the wall shifts) has always loved the idea of helping his fellow man and Amanda being a great wife and mother to their 2 girls worked hard to help him along the way. With all the crazy hours at work Chris and Amanda started looking for someone to jump in and help out a little.

While all this was going on Charlee and Abagail Thompson were running Thompson Rentals with the same goals in mind. Always looking for ways to expand the business to be able to help others and take care of their own children. Charlee and Abby started with 1 rental property in Branford and worked to make that grow into a few more. They were looking for ways to expand but were hitting dead ends.

Then God stepped in to help both families at the same time. Charlee joined the Christian Motorcyclists Association and meet a great lady by the name of Linda Bethea who had a son (Chris) that owned rental properties too. Soon she introduced Chris and Amanda to Charlee and Abby and the friendship took off from there like a rocket. Chris asked Charlee if he would be interested in taking Phoenix Rising Rentals and to keep it a place where people could have affordable homes and to keep up with all of his hard work. Charlee agreed and on 5/1/2016 Charlee and Abby bought Phoenix Rising Rentals from Chris and Amanda Bethea.

Since then Charlee and Abby have been working to not only keep up with all the hard work Chris and Amanda have put into Phoenix Rising Rentals but also to come up with some fresh ideas to make life better for the people that we serve. With God's help we plan to keep going and offering housing at rates that people can still enjoy life.
